An award-winning journalist, I'm the editor of digital subscriber experience at Hearst Connecticut Media. On any given day, you can find me wondering how a reporter could have approached a story differently, posting in a subscriber-only Facebook group, tweaking newsletter and marketing language for maximum impact or helping arrange live and online events.
A graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, I've lived and worked in Ghana, Africa; Utica, N.Y., and, most recently, New London, Conn., where I covered breaking news, law enforcement, opioid addiction and immigration as a reporter and editor with The Day newspaper. I also was involved in social media, audience engagement initiatives and a newsroom-produced true crime podcast called Case Unsolved, which you can find at caseunsolvedpodcast.com.
